The new 2019 Mercedes Benz AMG GLE Coupe is now available with the AMG Performance Studio package, which includes orange exterior accents, 21-inch alloy wheels with orange accents, and black side mirrors. Wood trim is now offered on the GLE 63 S.
Standard features on the base model include a Drive mode selector with five options, a sport-tuned electronically controlled suspension, adaptive dampers, an AMG sport exhaust system, 21-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, keyless entry and start, MB-Tex leatherette upholstery, a power liftgate, Mercedes’ COMAND interface with an 8.0-inch screen, navigation, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a Harman Kardon audio system, and two USB ports.

The base 2019 AMG GLE 43 comes with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 with 385 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Moving up to the AMG GLE 63 S gets you a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V-8 with a pavement-destroying 577 hp and 561 lb-ft. A seven-speed automatic is the only gearbox available on the AMG GLE 63 S.

EPA fuel economy ratings are 17/22 mpg city/highway for the AMG GLE 43 and 14/18 mpg for the AMG GLE 63 S.

The 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe has not been crash tested by the NHTSA and IIHS. However, the standard GLE-Class received a four-star rollover rating from the NHTSA (out of a possible five stars). In IIHS testing, the conventional GLE-Class was awarded a 2019 Top Safety Pick+ rating after it received a Good score across all categories (Good is the highest score) and a Superior score on the front crash prevention test after it avoided a 12-mph collision and reduced the speed of a 25-mph impact by 24 mph (Superior is the highest score on the front crash prevention test).

Standard active driver assistance features include attention assist, blind-spot monitoring, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and crosswind assist. Adaptive cruise control, active steering assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and pedestrian detection are optional.
