Ford Transit Van:
The Transit’s base price is higher than some rivals, but when pitted against the rest of the field of full-size vans, the Ford still rises to the top of the segment. The Transit’s handling is surprisingly adept for a vehicle it’s size and the cabin unexpectedly quiet. Three engine choices are available ranging from a small four-cylinder diesel to a muscular twin-turbo V-6. Whatever the job requirements or family needs, the Transit is up to it.
Ford Transit cargo van T-150 that comes with a generous selection of standard features is our pick of the range. This van rides on 16-inch steel wheels, and it comes with exterior features such as power-adjustable sideview mirrors and a split swing-out rear door for easy cargo access. A four-way adjustable driver’s seat and a manually adjustable tilt-and-telescoping steering column are on hand to help you get comfy behind the wheel. The list of standard equipment includes amenities such as Bluetooth connectivity, dual USB ports, and air conditioning. Additionally, all 2021 Ford Transit vans come with driver-assistance features such as lane-keeping assistance and lane-departure warning. We’d include the optional blind-spot monitoring for safer lane changes.
Ford’s Transit is offered with three powertrains. The base engine is a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V-6 that provides 275 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. There’s also a turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 available that generates 310 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. The third powerplant in the lineup is a turbocharged 2.0-liter diesel four-cylinder. All engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and buyers can choose between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The Transit is capable of towing up to 7500 pounds. The 2020 Transit could accommodate a payload of up to 4530 pounds but we expect that number to rise for 2021 thanks to a larger GVWR. The Mercedes Sprinter offers more robust payload capabilities.

Toyota Supra 2020:
Thanks to a little help from BMW, the legendary Supra nameplate has returned to the Toyota lineup. Back for the 2020 model year, the new Supra is a rear-drive halo sports car for the Toyota lineup that was developed in conjunction with BMW.
In the U.S. the 2020 Supra will be powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six good for 335 hp and 365 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an eight-speed automatic, the Supra will hit 60 mph in a Toyota-estimated 4.1 seconds. Pricing starts just above $50,000, which is expensive for a Toyota-branded product, but may be a bargain for a car as visually striking in person as the A90 Supra.
Curious to see how its automatic transmission would respond in a passing situation, I floored the gas pedal and the car immediately hunkered down and lunged forward, shoving me back in my seat as the turbocharged straight-six dished out a tidal wave of power.
An eight-speed automatic is the only transmission offered, but it’s a good one that makes extremely quick shifts during aggressive driving. Porsche’s PDK dual-clutch automatic long has been a benchmark for shift speed, but the Supra’s conventional automatic felt just as quick on the track, making fast, firm and refined upshifts. I like manual transmissions as much as the next driving enthusiast, but I didn’t miss one in the Supra because its automatic is so good. (Heresy, I know; send your hate mail to the email address below.) The car’s Normal drive mode offers more relaxed transmission responses.

The seventh-generation Dodge Charger has been around for close to a decade, and the profile of the Charger has become a well-known one on America’s roads. To mix things up for 2020, Dodge decided to widen the Charger SRT Hellcat with a Demon-inspired widebody kit that sees the fenders being stretched out further than an eighteen-year-old metalcore fan’s earlobes, accompanied by a number of suspension improvements in the form of Bilstein dampers with three-mode adaptive damping, as well as wider wheels and tires. This combination of upgrades helps the 2020 Charger Hellcat corner better than ever before and goes a long way to keep the aging seventh-gen platform relevant.
Charger continues to offer something for everybody: Legendary performance, versatility and stylish good looks. For 2020, Dodge offers a new, aggressive Widebody exterior for Charger SRT Hellcat (standard) and Charger Scat Pack (available). Merging a sturdy chassis and typical Lexus luxury, the GX is a mountain climber in a three-piece suit. A 301-hp 4.6-liter V-8, a six-speed automatic, and a four-wheel-drive system with a locking center differential are all standard and provide the GX its off-road credentials. Inside, plush seats, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a power-adjustable steering wheel are standard; adaptive cruise control and automated emergency braking are optional on the top Luxury trim.
Under the Lexus glitz, the GX is most closely related to the Toyota 4Runner—ladder frame, live rear axle, and all—but with a V-8, standard third row, four-wheel drive, and luxury accoutrements. A Toyota in a tux, if you will. It really hasn’t changed much since it first slithered out of the primordial soup as a 2003 model GX470. There’s some new technology, namely updated safety and infotainment items, but it’s still the same basic creature. Well, plus a distinctive, bigger-than-life spindle-shaped grille that arrived with the 2014 model and looks like it might just swallow whatever gets in its way.
This Lexus SUV isn’t the ride you’d choose to hustle down a twisty road or to maximize fuel economy. (We averaged 17 mpg, and we recorded 22 mpg in our 200-mile test at 75 mph.) In our experience, it doesn’t encourage spirited driving. For one thing, the steering lacks good communication skills. The brake pedal is mushy at the top of travel; even though we didn’t experience any fade during our testing, hyperactive ABS intervention led to some pretty long stopping distances from 70 mph. While the tall 265/60R-18 mud-and-snow tires are just what you’d want for poor traction situations, on a dry road there isn’t an abundance of lateral grip. The tall body sits atop a rugged ladder frame, and occupants feel the chassis rocking from side to side on curves and pitching fore and aft with throttle and brake applications. In this case, dive, squat, and roll are not Olympic events. But the GX’s ride is comfortable, absorbing harsh impacts well. A three-position switch offers Normal, Sport and Comfort settings for the available adaptive dampers that provide slight but detectable changes in ride quality.
